I know this post is a little late, but we've been awfully busy around here these days. Everett and Emerson came home on 7/18 and Emmett came home on 7/20. It's so nice to have them home and to not have to go up to the hospital multiple times a day.

This week has not been too bad. The babies eat every three hours so the first couple of nights were a little rough. Last night though they decided to give us a break and slept for two 4 hour stretches. It was nice to be able to get that much sleep, even though it's still not enough :)

They are doing well and love to cuddle which is the best part about having a newborn. I'm lucky that I have three to snuggle all the time. It's amazing how they each have their little quirks and personalities already. Emmett seems to be the most demanding. I think it's because he is more gassy and needs to be held a little more often. Everett is the impatient one and does not like to wait to eat or to be held. He knows what he wants when he wants it and is going to let everyone else know it too. Emerson is the most laid back and usually is content just looking around to see what he can see.

Dad has given each one a nickname which is quite cute. Everett's nickname is goose because every time he eats he makes noises like a goose and it is quite funny. Emmett's nickname is goat because he is usually making goat like noises. I think it's because he's gassy, and so I feel bad for him, but it's still really adorable. Emerson we call bug because he is the small guy and is so tiny. He looks like a doll since he doesn't have any fat in his cheeks yet.

Tomorrow we go to the doctor for our first checkup. We just need to make sure that the babies are gaining weight and growing. This is really important since they are all being fed exclusivly breastmilk and haven't had to be supplemented with formula for about 2 weeks now. I'm quite proud of the fact that I am a dairy cow as Chris has stated and that I am able to breastfeed all three of my babies.

More updates will come later and so will pictures. It's hard to find the time to sit down and update the blog.

We've been quite busy the last couple of days adjusting to having the babies home and trying to get a few things done around the house. Since we now have three babies here with all their baby stuff we are pretty much out of room. So we decided that we would take down our lovely saltwater fish tank. It's bittersweet as I love my tank, but right now we don't have the time or the room for it. So Chris has been working on taking everything out and to the fish store and then cleaning out the tank. You would think it wouldn't take that long, but with 150 gallon tank the process has taken all week. Tonight he has a few guys coming over to move the 600 or so lb tank to the shed.

We are very thankful for the friends that have donated meals to us. It is so nice to be able to take something out of the fridge or freezer and just put it in the oven for dinner. It really has made life a little easier around here. Now if I could just get the laundry fairy and the cleaning fairy to visit we would be set :P
