Back to the hospital

On Sunday May 31st I started having contractions about every 4 minutes apart. I waited an hour and a half hoping they would go away but they didn't, so off to the hospital I went. When I got to the hospital my contractions were 4-6 minutes apart and of course I got admitted. It took forever for them to get an IV in again (which happens every time), but finally after a lot of torture they got it. I got fluid and then a shot of terb which only slowed my contractions and did not stop them. So then they broke out the big meds and I was on an IV of Magnesium Sulfate. Mag is not fun and I didn't feel that great after they started it. Luckily I am bigger and they said that helped me not have the really bad side effects like not being able to get up and walk.

Monday they kept me on the Mag and fluid and I was doing pretty good. I got taken off the meds around 5:30pm but they wanted to keep me and watch how I was doing.

Tuesday doc comes in and says that I have to stay 24 hours after the Mag to make sure the contractions do not start up again and its safe to go home. I was told that on Wednesday morning they would measure my cervix again and then we would go from there.

It's now Tuesday night around 10 and my contractions started again every 5 minutes. They started the IV with fluids again and gave me a shot of terb. So far that has seemed to work and I hope they stay away. I have a feeling that since I had this "relapse" I won't be going home tomorrow. Guess we'll see when the time comes.
